Three complementary research areas

Spatial modelling

Spatio-temporal patterns of climate change and non-communicable diseases.

Public health

Drought in relation to hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic kidney disease.

Epidemiology

The relationship between drought exposure and diabetes.

Building a sustainable research environment

The researchers are registered at the Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences. Their work strengthens local capacity to generate, analyse and communicate evidence on climate change and health.

Capacity building is a central CLIMATCH objective and helps ensure that expertise developed through the study contributes to future research and policy engagement in Tanzania.
